Editoral Review

The Kaplan GMAT course exceeded expectations - the curriculum of the course was extremely well laid out. Each class alternated between math and verbal allowing for intense focus on both mathematical and verbal topics. The instructor was incredible! She was personally invested in each student's success. It's critical that students complete all assignments as each homework task contains key elements covered during the corresponding class and previews for the upcoming class. My favorite component of the course was the "Test Day Experience" where any Kaplan student can sign up to take one of his 9 practice GMATs at an actual Pearson test center. This allowed for a real test experience so going on the actual test day was not intimidating whatsoever. The student has the opportunity to become acclimated to his surroundings and what to expect on test day.

Overall, a well-structured course that prepared students very well for the actual exam!

    Excellent!
I enjoyed my Kaplan experience because of the helpful, engaging, and genuinely motivating qualities of my teacher (not to mention his humour). Also, the resources offered such as exam banks, practice CATs, etc were invaluable. Would recommend.

This course helped me prepare completely for the test! 5 stars
My teacher was always energetic for the two and a half hours of class considering it was at night! Also my teacher was always available for questions outside of class and always got back to us right away. In addition, the materials provided with the course were helpful because they went step by step through the processes so I had no trouble studying on my own at home.

    Kaplan GMAT Prep Very Helpful
I took the classroom Kaplan GMAT prep course because I needed a physical place to go and learn, as opposed to online or self-study.

The facility and classroom setting was conducive to learning, but at times the temperature was too cold. There was a whiteboard and plenty of seating, so visibility was not an issue.

The teacher, Cheran Morgan, was thorough and did well considering the small class size and lack of participant response. She was able to provide examples and explain the answers to difficult questions.

The curriculum was more fast-paced than I would have preferred. It was twice per week for 2.5 hours. If I had the option I would have chosen once per week as that would have allowed for more time between classes to study and complete assignments. The study materials were helpful and absolutely necessary for the class. The organization of the material jumped between math and verbal from week to week, which was also helpful since it allowed time for the material to set in before the next week's concepts were introduced.

the teacher was phenomenal, took the time to explain the concepts and ensure they could be applied by all students
I had already taken the gmat, using a variety of gmat prepbooks and the gmac simultion software so I was familiar with some of the tips/tricks and processes to improve my score. The advanced course however was a definite improvement over such preparation.

    Curriculum
all the questions in the advanced notebook were hard, ensuring you avoided the easy, self-esteem improving but totally useless basic questions. There was also a quiz bank that you could use to create harder and harder questions in the types you were having the most problem with. The instructor also focused on the difficult questions, explaining the thought process clearly and succcinctly

    Software
doing a practice gmat, that actually modifies the questions based on whether you getting them right/wrong every week was a huge benefit. The cats follow a similar algorithm for choosing questions as a gmat, which ensured I was prepared and ready to handle ever increasing difficulty

    Teacher
Probably hands down the single most important factor in my success. Passionate, always responding to questions and maximizing the time we had to ensure the best possible score. can't even begin to highlight some of the accolades my fellow students and me had for this guy. top notch!

    Kaplan teaches the strategy
I reall enjoyed this course. Though i felt the actual lessons on mathematical properties were not as useful because of my current skill set, the course did a great job to teach how best to beat the test using strategy to eliminate answers and get the best answer in the least amount of time. Lisa was great and was very knowledgeable and willing to help.

Great Chance to Improve YOUR Score
The instructor was great, he answered everyone's question, explained every problem's solution, and the best of all, he provided lots of tips and shortcuts that are really valuable and also necessary to achieve a high score on the GMAT exam.
The course book and materials really focused on the GMAT's core, and they showed many trap answers that are considered "classic" on the GMAT exam. The book started easy, so the student can get use to what concept and testing method the GMAT is focused on, then it will gradually move forward at a steady pace to more advanced questions.
The facility was very comfortable, great lighting, nice chairs and desks, it also provided free water as well.
I would highly recommend this class to those of you who want to improve your GMAT score tremendously. When I took the diagnostic test, I scored 550, after I finished the course and then took the actual exam, I scored 720 and I couldn't be more happy about the result.

Anil is a great Math genius
The math preparation was great. Anil did a great job in teaching skills for me to do well on the GMAT. Surprisingly I did better than I expect on the verbal and worse than I expect on the math. I found that I did better on Kaplan's practice test than the actual test.

    Great course!
The classroom was awesome - very clean and well-equipped. The materials were good and showed the variety of GMAT questions. Instructor was helpful and you can email him at anytime. The biggest advantage is the 10 practice CATs which allow you to simulate the actual test. Also, you can take the CAT at any actual GMAT testing center - simulating the test environment as well.

    Good guide
The course itself is very fast paced and you have to be self motivated to study and do well. The CAT exams, Computer Adaptive Tests, which are supposed to be mock GMATs are good for practice. However, they're slightly different than the actual exam.
The material is good, but it is much better to study old real GMAT questions as they are slightly different styles, in my opinion.
I re-took the class and took advantage of the higher score guarantee because my score did not improve much the first time. The second time, after I picked up bits and pieces I had missed from the first class, my score did improve by about 50-90 points on the mock exams.
Overall it's a good investment if you have time to dedicate to studying outside the classroom as well.
