Even if you hate math you ll love this book
Many testtakers dread the quant sections of standardized tests more than the rest of it put together, and no wonder. The subject is often badly taught in the first place, and math is where adult students contemplating the GRE or GMAT are likely to be weakest. No matter how much math you avoided in high school or college and in your working life, you can still make up years of lost ground with this book. Really! Spend an hour a day with it and be transformed. You may not learn to love math but your skill and confidence will increase exponentially. Much better than the math sections in general GRE prep books...and most textbooks for that matter.

    Good For Its Purpose
I've studied a good bit of mathematics, to the level of differential equations and beyond, but the problem is that my last math class was two decades ago. I recently concluded that math ability is far too important to let it decay so, on the "use it or lose it" principle, I decided to do a systematic review of the math I learned in my younger years, starting with the very basics.

    Good overall math review
I had taken the GRE but was disappointed with my math score, so I picked up this book based on the great reviews. This has a very thorough review of various math concepts (arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and some questions specific to certain standardized tests, such as quantitative comparisons) with a lot of practice problems. I felt that a shining point of this book was the diagnostic test at the beginning of each section; it helps you narrow down your focus to the concepts you don't know, and includes page numbers to direct you to the correct section. Definitely take your time with this book to get the maximum benefit from it.

    great review
This book helped me a lot with GRE prep! It provides you with a thorough review of most of the concepts you'll encounter on ETS-style tests, and there are plenty of practice questions and quizzes with detailed explanations of the answers. Everyone in the other reviews has said that you need a month to get through it, but I procrastinated and got through the entire thing in the 2-3 days before my exam. (I did skip a couple of sections where I didn't need review, though)

A Great Starting Point When Studying for the GRE Quantative
I have always had a lot of trouble with math. But, with this book, I was able to improve my score on the GRE Quantitative section by 110 points. It breaks down the concepts you need to know in the best way possible. The only caveat is that it does not cover the basic statistics which may come up on the current GREs.

This helped me relearn things I hadn t done in 15 years
If you have forgotten arithmetic, algebra and geometry, use this book and then move on to test specific reviews, such as the Kaplan and Princeton Review GRE guides. This book is great. . . very clear with lots of practice questions within each lesson to help solidify what you just learned.

    Excellent Math Review
After being out of math for 6 years, reading this book made me wonder why I needed a year to complete an algebra class compared to the week that I spent reviewing this book.

    AWESOME Math Review
Don't know what I would have done without this little book! I haven't done math in almost 20 years and it reviewed everything I needed for the GRE and then some! I was so impressed! The review tests were great and it has tons of practice questions! A must for those of us for who math is ancient history!
